Terms of Service

MyCareer ("MyCareer", "we", "us") is an online platform that helps people in Cambodia find jobs and helps employers find people. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and MyCareer and apply whenever you visit the website or use any of its features.

By creating an account or using MyCareer, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

You must be at least 15 years old, the minimum working age in Cambodia, to create an account. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian.

Employer accounts must be created by someone who is authorised to act for the company or organisation. New employer accounts are reviewed before they can publish jobs, and we may ask for information to verify the business.

• Give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password private. You can also sign in with Google; in that case Google's own terms apply to your Google account.
• You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.
• Company accounts can invite team members. The company is responsible for who it invites and the permissions it gives them.

Using MyCareer as a job seeker is free. When you apply for a job, the employer receives your application, your profile and the CV you attach, so only apply to roles you are genuinely interested in.

• Make sure your profile and CV are truthful. Do not claim qualifications or experience you do not have.
• Be careful with job offers: a real employer will never ask you to pay a fee to apply, to be interviewed or to get a job. If anyone asks you for money, please report the listing to us.

Employers may publish job listings for real, currently open positions that they are hiring for, or are recruiting for on behalf of a client they name.

• Describe the role, location, conditions and pay honestly, and keep listings up to date. Close a listing once the position is filled.
• Never charge candidates any fee to apply, interview or be hired.
• Do not discriminate against candidates on the basis of race, colour, sex, religion, political opinion, national origin, social origin, disability, age or membership of a trade union, and follow the Labour Law of Cambodia and other applicable laws.
• Use candidates' information only to assess them for the role they applied to. Do not sell it, share it with others, or contact candidates about unrelated offers.
• Keep candidate CVs and personal details secure and delete them when you no longer need them for recruitment.

To keep MyCareer safe and useful for everyone, you must not:

• post fake, misleading or scam job listings, pyramid schemes or "jobs" that require an upfront payment;
• advertise work that is illegal, exploitative or involves human trafficking or child labour;
• impersonate another person, company or organisation;
• upload content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or that infringes someone else's rights;
• collect other users' information by scraping, bots or any automated means;
• send spam or use MyCareer to advertise unrelated products or services;
• try to break, overload or get around the security of the platform, or access accounts or data that are not yours.

You keep ownership of everything you upload — your profile, CV, photos, company logo and job listings. You give MyCareer permission to store, display and share that content only as needed to run the platform: for example, showing a job listing to visitors, or sending your application to the employer you applied to.

You confirm that you have the right to upload the content and that it does not break any law or anyone else's rights. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.

We take your personal information seriously. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who can see your CV and what choices you have. It forms part of these Terms.

MyCareer connects job seekers and employers, but we are not part of any hiring decision or employment relationship. We do not guarantee that a listing is still available, that an employer will reply, or that you will be hired or find the right candidate.

We review employer accounts and remove listings that break these Terms, but we cannot check every detail of every listing. Always do your own checks before accepting an offer or sharing sensitive documents.

You can stop using MyCareer at any time and ask us to close your account.

We may remove content, suspend or close an account, without notice where necessary, if it breaks these Terms, puts other users at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

We work hard to keep MyCareer available and accurate, but the platform is provided "as is". We cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent the law allows, MyCareer is not responsible for the content that users post, for the actions of employers or candidates, or for indirect losses such as lost income or lost opportunities. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under Cambodian law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia. If a disagreement arises, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it informally. If we cannot, the dispute will be handled by the competent courts of Phnom Penh.

These Terms are available in English and Khmer. If the two versions differ, the Khmer version prevails.

We may update these Terms as MyCareer grows. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page, and for important changes we will let you know by email or a notice on the site before they take effect. If you keep using MyCareer after the changes apply, you accept the updated Terms.
